Non Cloud is a free variable display typeface designed entirely with DotType, our Glyphs 3 plugin. Every glyph was built using the circle shape and both gradient modes — exploring the full range of the plugin's capabilities.

The typeface spans two masters. The Light uses a dot size of 66 units with a margin of 69, creating an open and airy rhythm between each dot. The Bold pushes the dots to 136 units with a margin of −15, where dots overlap slightly and the texture becomes dense and compact.

Both masters were designed with the gradient axis active, available in two directions, large to small and small to large — adding a second dimension to the variable space.
